Christmas countdown

So you think I've been sitting around?? I saw this adorable advent calendar at Pottery Barn and decided to make one for Quinn. It is a 3-foot Christmas tree with 25 pockets to put a little something in for her every day (I never said she wasn't spoiled). So here are the pockets I've made so far.....boy is it turning out to be a lot of work!! Any ideas of what else I could put on a pocket?T? 25 is turning out to be a LOT to come up with. I'm sure you're wondering why I don't just copy pockets from the pottery barn one....well, I have and I'm still out of ideas. Nothing too difficult--I'm not that good.

Eleven??!!!

I've been trying VERY hard to get a video of Quinn counting...I finally got a cute one today and it WON'T UPLOAD for some reason. So...sorry. You'll have to just keep on believing me that Quinn can count...she actually got up to NINE today by herself...no joke. Then once when I was helping her after we got to 10 she totally surprised me by saying '11.' I didn't even know that she knew 11!!! I've tried to upload 10 times, but I'll keep trying...hopefully you'll see a video soon--it's been a while since you've seen her in action.

What have we done?

We didn't let Quinn watch TV until recently. Now that we let her--her favorite has become Elmo. We have all seen Elmo in Grouchland SO MANY TIMES. Here we are getting a break from that movie and letting her watch some Elmo clips online.

I don't want to brag....but I'm going to. Quinn can COUNT TO FIVE!!!! No joke....if I say 'one,' she'll say 'two, three, four five.' haha....it's awesome. I tried to video it, but she just kept saying 'no.' of course...I'll keep trying because it's really pretty amazing.

My hair appointment didn't show up tonight so I've been wasting time! I found these cute pictures from last November and thought I would show you my favorite...remember what a cute little baby Quinn was???!!!

This doesn't seem so out of place now...but if you remember how tiny her teeth were. :) She was really only eating cheerios at this point!

Just my sweet girl doing what she loves best...looking at books! We've been under the weather for a few days, so sorry about the lack of posting (mostly sorry to my mom...since she's the one who noticed) :) But here is my happy girl back to herself....and i'm back to myself too, which i'm sure makes her happy as well.

These were the ONLY pictures I took of Quinn's trick-or-treating experience...I don't know how that happened. Dave's work had trick-or-treating at the office, so we just went there during the day (let's face it....otherwise it would be past her bedtime) :) She liked it, although she was very shy. I think she was surprised that she got to keep the candy after we let her pick one.

It took a lot of persuasion to have her put the candy in her bucket...she was going to hold ALL of it. I'm sure she didn't think she was getting it back if she put it down.
