videos of x

I don't take enough videos of this little guy. He is actually talking a LOT now, but wasn't in the mood to show off his skills. the one word he says in this near the beginning over and over is 'candy.' of course.

and Dave THROWING pillows at him.

I'll try to get a video of him actually speaking since it's pretty awesome.

pictures...

Just Hendrix.

Being stinking cute

It's a good thing that all the Christmas presents from Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Dan came in a BIG box.

Quinn needed a new place to read books

cooking corn

my mom made Hendrix this 'boy' chef set a few months ago (so he didn't have to keep wearing Quinn's flowery one). She asked me for a picture of him in the whole outfit and I FINALLY took some pictures of him in it.

he played with this corn for a while. and boy are my shelves a mess. I need someone to come help me decorate my house. anyone?

AND SOME BABY BEDDING!!! this was quite the labor of love. These crib rail protectors aren't 'hard' really, just take some time. Plus they are large, which is something I don't really love to do. I made two-- thinking that we might put the crib in the corner and have both sides showing. Don't mind all the things we are hiding in the crib at the moment to keep Hendrix's hands off them.

and next time one of you thinks I'm some sort of super crafty person-- i want you to remember this-- these buttons are GLUED on. haha... I still can't believe I did that. the thought of eight button holes made me depressed. so the whole thing is attached with velcro (and the velcro is hidden by the buttons). and look at those cute buttons!!! (I had to paint them, but they were worth it).

and by the way--- crib rail protectors are just to protect your crib when you have a teething baby who wants to chew the paint off your crib rails. or in our case-- to cover up where our baby chewed the paint off :)

for mom

my mom was wondering why i hadn't done a post since SATURDAY. I told Quinn i needed to take her picture for Grandma and she RAN. So here are some old random pictures.

such a chubby little guy

It's crazy to me how much she has changed. Still cute as ever, but I love to look back at old pictures of her. She was such a little doll.

look how young we all are!!! This was taken outside our apartment in L.A. when Paul, Les, and Clint came for a visit. It's funny how much I see this picture. It is the VERY first picture in Iphoto, so every single time I upload a picture, I see this one first.

a happy little girl eating an icecream.

more random new

--I started the bedding for Baby M's room. And MAYBE I can talk Dave into painting her room this weekend since we've had the paint for three weeks.
--And if you haven't heard of Bountifiul Baskets-- you should. It's awesome. My friend Kelsey told me about it months ago, but it wasn't in Boise yet. So it finally has made it's way here and it's very exciting. For only $15 you get a WHOLE laundry basket full of fruits and vegetables. And if you live by me-- LOOK into it, so we can get one a little closer to where I live :)
--AND it's starting to hurt REALLY bad to be pregnant. There are many times throughout my day that I wonder how in the world I'm going to get through the next three months. Not only am I going to be HUGE, but boy oh boy am I going to have to learn a new tolerance for pain. But she will be worth it for sure. Can't wait to see her little hands and face and feel her soft baby skin. And I'm sure by then I'll have forgotten the misery I'm feeling now.

crafty stuff

I've been knee deep in projects lately. I've beenWorking on Christmas presents and baby stuff. The crazy thing is that I've had TONS of stuff to finish, yet sometimes I just feel like making burp rags...
So sorry, mom and Julie. I hope you wanted burp rags for Christmas. :)
And just watch--- Baby V won't be a spitter-- then what am I gonna do???

A painting I did for the baby's room. I finally found some decent fabric for her nursery, so hopefully I'll have that done soon too. I've had in my mind grey and white stripes, but couldn't for the life of me find fabric like that. So I thought the painting might make me feel better that I settled on grey with white polka dots for her bedding.

And some more quiet book pages. And yep-- a felt covered baby bump. oops.

And NO pictures of the other things I've been working on. I don't want to totally spoil Christmas present surprises.

we're moving

look at all this snow?? I can't take it anymore so we're moving back to California. Alright... I'm kidding, we're not actually moving. But can you believe all this snow???

Dave is a GREAT snow-man builder. Too bad Quinn's eyes were shut because it was the only picture I got before she started crying.

Yep.. super sad

Dave making funny jokes trying to get her to stop crying. It's KIND of working.

This little guy has been sick, so no playing in the snow for him. Boy is he cute though :)

Today, we were walking into the mall and I asked Quinn if she thought that maybe we'd see Santa at the mall today. She CRACKED up and said "Santa isn't at the mall." She thought I was talking crazy that he would actually spend some time at the mall... haha...

Christmas pj

One of my favorite people told me about a Christmas tradition they have. Instead of opening a pair of Christmas pj's on Christmas Eve, she gives each of her kids a present of Christmas pj's on Thanksgiving. That way they have the whole month of December to enjoy them, as opposed to January and February when we are all a little sick of Christmasy things. So I started this year. Except I never found Hendrix a pair of pj's that I liked that was cheap enough, so I wrapped up last years pj's and CRAMMED him into them. :)

Dave took this video last night right before he put Quinn to bed.

thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with this cute family:

Christy and I. We are both pregnant-- like 6 weeks apart I think?? I think she's 20 weeks.

And the Kellas

pre-thanksgiving

it was Hendrix's idea to sit on her lap. ha. they are practically the same size.

Quinn has been making lots of funny faces when I bust out the camera lately.

I decided that I can't live with one pair of pants afterall. so I made another pair. It only took me trying on 6 pairs of old jeans to find a pair that I could pull up over my bum... sad. it's also sad that chin #2 has appeared. this picture isn't bad, but i have about 10 other pictures from Thanksgiving that prove it :)

in this picture you can kind of see the impression of my deformed belly button. i've been lucky to not get stretch marks (knock on wood) with any of my pregnancies-- yet with every baby my belly button gets more and more deformed and never goes back to normal. i've told dave i'm going to need surgery to fix it. with this baby it's like i have two belly buttons-- the bump on the inside, and the outer belly button have separated. i don't think it's normal. :)

saturday

Just a darling picture Dave took on Saturday that I stole off his Twitter. This boy likes his icecream. And we sure love him :)
