Is any one else having trouble with videos?? It took me literally 12 attempts to get this to upload. Here is Quinn being cute pointing out animals--"right there!!"

Quinn and crib and blankie

Quinn looking at books. I love the big pile beside her on the floor! She will empty an entire bookshelf before she is done looking at books. It's a good thing we have her books spread out all over the house, otherwise it would take me forever to clean them all up every time!

I finished the crib bumper!!!!! I was so worried that it wasn't going to fit, or wouldn't work for some reason--but look--it's great!!! I did the inside part by the crib in just plain white flannel. I thought it would be softer when his face is squished against it

I didn't get a good shot of the crib skirt, but I made that too. I'll get a better picture of everything I made for the crib once we have touched up the paint on it and put it together for real!

A blankie I also made last night (although it was already half done because my friend Allison gave it to me after she had it all cut out) :)

"Elmo's World."

So...if you've seen Sesame Street you'll get what she's singing. When it's time for Elmo's world---Elmo sings 'la la la la, Elmo's world.' Here is Quinn's cute version, and she even plays the piano at the same time :)

my mom informed me this morning that I hadn't done a blog post since SATURDAY. sorry :) Can't you see I've been too busy sewing??!!
I took this picture yesterday, but she obviously was NOT in the mood for me to take her picture. But she's wearing the dress you just sent her.

Changing pad

I made this changing pad for the baby boy. Another Amy Butler pattern....I know I've made a lot from that book lately. I am borrowing the book, but only for another week so I've been making everything I wanted to from it before I give it back.

I have no idea where Quinn learned to say 'watch this,' but this video is hilarious. She not only says it, she SCREAMS it...hehe...

Blankets for my bebe

I made these two blankets for the baby boy. One side is fleece, the other side is the fabric. Cute huh? Another Amy Butler pattern. The grey one has a hood--I didn't do the hood on the green one and it took me WAY less time. anyway--Quinn is slightly obsessed with blankies, she she thinks they are for her :)

For my baby boy

Our baby boy is not blessed with a walk in closet, like Quinn is. So I made him this laundry bag that hangs up. Cute huh? It's an Amy Butler pattern...and I love, love, love how it turned out.


It has a slit in the front so you can slip the clothes in while it's hanging up by the drawstrings

Why do I try?

I put some pigtails in Quinn's hair this morning. I tried to do it while her hair was still wet thinking that maybe they would stay in better. It is a good thing I took a picture for proof, because they lasted for a whole 30 minutes
