phone pics

Every time I've tried to get Hendrix to wear this pink shirt in the past 6 months he says "I don't want to wear that mom- pink is NOT my favorite color." But for some reason he agreed last Sunday to wear it. And I think he liked it. A couple people said something to him at church about him looking cool, and he would mention his PINK shirt. :)
 Hendrix's new favorite show: Wall-E
Dave was on a business trip 4 days last week. By the last day, we had cereal for dinner. My kids thought it was hilarious. :)
Morning snuggles with Daddy after he got home from his trip.
 Roar!
Hendrix counted the goldfish in this pond. It was a good guess :)
Quinn reading to Veda. Quinn is just soaring through books. It's so fun to watch her learning to read. It's the best thing ever.

I LOVE this little girl. Last week while Hendrix was at play group (and Quinn was at school) me and Veda had a fun little date. We sat outside in the PERFECT Texas weather and shared a cookie at Panera and walked around Nordstrom Rack. It was a perfect morning with the world's most perfect baby girl. Look at that face! She's the best.
Veda is a Watermelon this year. It suits her.
I hosted book club at my house last week. And instead of eating dinner at home and having the kids mess up the house I spent the day cleaning, we had a picnic at the little pond by our house. Quinn was abnormally in the mood to pose for the camera. Maybe she's coming around?
Hendrix is loving soccer. I love it too :)
Hendrix asked to sit on the potty the other day. No- he's not potty trained. And no- I'm not really pushing him. He did go in the potty this time- but hasn't since.
Hendrix is a rock star for Halloween this year. It also suits him :)
 Sweet baby girl reading books.
While Dave was gone I borrowed a jogger so I could run with the kids. Yikes- pushing a stroller while running is HARD. I'm never buying one of these so I never have to do it again. But it was a gloriously beautiful morning. I love Texas.
It was 'red' day at school for Quinn. She had nothing to wear, so she borrowed this dress from Veda. They are already sharing clothes

 Having fun at Target
I helped in Quinn's classroom last week. Kindergarten teachers are amazing. I can't imagine doing what they do every day. It was fun to see Quinn in her new element.
Veda walking to a play date. She is growing up way too fast.
 More books. And pig tails.
Hendrix's Halloween bag that I made

Ghosts of Halloweens Past

Want to revisit our past Halloweens? Sure you do. Starting with Quinn's first Halloween as a turtle.
Then a cute little turkey
A darling ladybug
This year Hendrix was a turtle, but there wasn't  good picture. (Same costume as Quinn above so you get the idea)
Sweet ballerina and skeleton
 Black kitty and candy corn
And a cowboy (little stinker wouldn't wear the rest of his costume- but boy did he look cute)
Look at those fall leaves from our Idaho house. Haven't seen fall leaves like that yet here. But that's okay- because I'm enjoying the fall weather here even without the colorful leaves :)

Veda at 19 months

I thought I'd do a quick update on Veda. She is growing up before my eyes.
-19 months old
-Loves to do anything her brother or sisters are doing.
-A Mommy's girl through and through. She refuses to go to nursery, yet when she sees my friend Jessica she runs at her with open arms for a hug, LOVES her daddy, and still walks around the house calling out for my mom. She is always happy to see me in the morning when I come and get her from her crib- but I think she is more excited when she sees Quinn first thing in the morning.
-Really loves puzzles and books. She will pretty much always calm down if you offer to read her a book.

-Loves backpacks, wearing Quinn's shoes, dressing up, or wearing something silly.
-She is very inconsistent with what she likes to eat. One day she'll love something, the next day she will refuse to even try the same thing. Although she consistently loves fruit and yogurt (and treats) :)
-Veda is still nursing. Usually 3 times a day. I've been trying to nurse her less and less, but the opposite seems to be happening. Maybe my milk is drying up, but she always wants to nurse for a long time. It's hard to refuse her when she's crying and bringing me the boppy. Any ideas on how to wean her? It's definitely ALMOST time. ha :)
-Veda is about the sweetest thing on the planet. She has all of us wrapped around her finger. Even Hendrix is pretty sympathetic to her (not ALL the time, but he is 3). Today I was smooshing a bunch of fire ants that were on our front porch. Veda comes up and starts stomping on them too since she copies everything that anybody does. Hendrix comes over and very sweetly says to Veda "You better stop little baby! They might bite your cute little toe-sies!"

I almost can't believe that I'm sharing this video with you. Just watch how incredibly cute she is and ignore me in the background. She is just the cutest ever.

Instagrams!!

Here's my life according to my iPhone pictures last week.

None of the kids are in their actual costumes for this year. :)
Presents for the kids from Uncle Fritz before he left

 Sharing issues :)
I think the terrible twos are beginning for Veda. If she is not by my side and being quiet-- it's not a good sign :)

My kids went to Chuck-E-Cheese for the first time this week. They think it's called "Chunk N Cheese"

 Uh-oh. See?

On a hayride with the kids. (We had a little field trip with Hendrix's play group)
The cupcakes I brought to the field trip
Just a little turkey cleaning my bathroom

Lunch at IKEA after soccer. Hendrix said we couldn't park here because "A daddy" wasn't with us :)
