I've been a bad blogger lately, so I looked through the photos and videos from the last couple of weeks and found a few that I hadn't put up.

Dave harvested these from our garden last night after he mowed the lawn. Aren't they the cutest little carrots? I couldn't help but take a picture. They tasted really good too.

I just had the greatest thing happen at the grocery store. Every time I go to Winco I am completely stressed out by the time I leave. I wear Quinn in the sling still since she gets too crazy in the cart--so it's a major workout to hold her and load the groceries and put them on the belt and bag them myself. Plus there are always 10 angry people behind me in line probably ticked off that I am doing it all while holding a toddler on my hip. Anyway--this morning I was just starting to load my groceries onto the belt when this kind lady came behind me in line and offered to help. Of course I didn't turn her down! It was such a simple thing for her to do--her hands were not full of a baby. Another cashier even offered to help her right away, but she still finished helping me until all my food was on the belt. I was so touched by her simple act of kindness. It was all I could do to hold back my tears of gratitude until I left the store. Maybe just a reminder that we should all try to do something kind for someone else. It totally made my day, and all she did was put my groceries on the belt.

I was trying to get some of Quinn's words on video today. This first one was funny--she wasn't in the mood--but I tricked her somehow when it came to saying 'applesauce.'

Here she is being slightly more cooperative for the camera. I think "Ellie" is my favorite--or maybe "Daddy." You gotta love her enthusiasm. She is obviously distracted by the gymnastics she is performing on her bike--but I got a few good words out of her!

(and look Krystal--you didn't need to ask, I already did today) :)

Fun weekend in Donnelly

Our friends, Mitch and April, invited us to spend the weekend with them at this 'cabin' in Donnelly.

We took a walk Saturday morning. I forgot to pack Quinn a sweatshirt--so we had to improvise. Here she is with her swimsuit cover-up and pants over her pjs. (and yes--eating a pancake)

Quinn was in HEAVEN because Mitch and April have 'PUPPIES!!!!!' It was probably the highlight of the weekend for Quinn. She would follow them around pointing at them and saying 'PUPPIES!!!'

There was a state park down the road that we went to on Saturday (it had better sand than the water right outside the house). And there was tons of sand and water and toys--and here is Quinn magnetically drawn to where the dogs are....here she is pretending to feed Roxy with her spoon

I didn't get any other pictures of the babies together except for this one!! At least they were both running in the same direction. Zander is a speedy little boy--it was hilarious to watch him run around the house!!

Twin Falls

Today we took the youth to the Twin Falls Temple open house. It was such a fun day! The only picture I got was this one...and of course I took it AFTER we had gone swimming--instead of before when we were all in our dresses. Here is me with a few of the girls that rode in my car!

By the way--notice how she runs EVERYWHERE. Even if it only takes 5 steps to get somewhere she will run.

Our friends, Jason and Christy, blessed their baby yesterday at their home! Here's the baby and his dad!

They have an amazing house up in the mountains--here is a picture of it on our way out.

This is an adorable video of Quinn waving and pointing to baby Emery. (I didn't realize Dave was taping--so don't mind me). The BEST part is the last second when she 'kisses' the baby!!

Out with the old...in with the new

Dave's car has been on it's last leg for a while--so when we just found out it needed a LOT of repairs, we decided to trade it in. we'll miss his car though--we've loved it!!


And here's the new one!! sweet, huh? it's a 2002 Dodge Durango.


When we were leaving Michigan, my sister was generous enough to give us her son's old car seat--so now we have one for the new car!! Here's is Quinn trying out the button

i had to promise my mom I would have new pictures up by the end of the day. Who knows why I haven't been posting--we've had a long week of being stuck at home without a car....and I guess I still found enough to keep me busy without posting. But here you go mom...
