Veda's new bed and quilt

Since Veda learned how to get out of her crib- it was time for a big girl bed! And a big girl bed means a new blanket for her bed. Quinn has a darling comforter from Target, but I needed one that matched that was toddler bed size. So off to Joann's to find some matching fabric. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the colors close, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The cutest little pike of scraps
Thanks to my mom who helped me place these blocks. Sometimes RANDOM is so hard! I put her on FaceTime and we rearranged until it was right. My mom has a good eye :)

 Here's the back
I am not a perfectionist when it comes to sewing, so quilts are usually my thing. This was maybe one of the easiest I've done though.
The whole thing went pretty smoothly until I was binding... then some crazy pins stabbed me. I think I'll survive.
 And look! They kinda match!
And she looks pretty sweet in her big girl bed.

they TOTALLY match and are darling and I love them both. Now make my girls some . . . lol. Gah, it's on my never ending list of things to do - maybe this winter?

I love those three little babies in the bed!
