Oatmeal

When my mom was here, she was pretty grossed out that I would let Quinn eat her oatmeal with her fingers. When she was here, she would feed her everyday--but now she's gone so we are back to our old ways. She's developing her autonomy, right mom?

See--look at how good she is at getting a whole bunch in her mouth without a spoon...

...and so happy about it.

Look at this cute dress!! I have had this forever and have been waiting for it to fit her. Hey April, remember this dress?? You helped me pick it out!! We couldn't get her to smile in any of these pictures, she was too busy eating cheese.

Shirt I made

When my mom was here we started making a couple shirts for Quinn. I finally finished one today!! Here it is! (sorry, this was the best shot of the front--and she happened to have a monkey in her mouth)

Quinn LOVES cheese. She can even kind of say it. It doesn't have quite the effect I'm looking for when I ask her to say 'cheese' for the camera.

yes, that's a raw potato

Quinn found a potato in the pantry this morning. I walked in to find her sitting on the floor and the potato in her mouth. She must have liked it though because she carried it around for a good hour today!



Quinn has been slightly fascinated by this 'doll' in the closet but has never gotten a good look at it.

She wasn't so sure once she saw it.

Quinn-O got her shots yesterday. It was a very sad day for Quinn and me both. She got an extra poke too since the doctor thinks she's too tiny and wanted to run a test on her blood. She 'fell off' the growth chart, so we need to try and fatten her up. Hopefully our baby is healthy, just petite!

"Today is my birthday."

I can hardly believe my baby girl is a year old today! We have been blessed with such an amazing girl. She is sweet, loving, happy and funny. I love her more than I ever thought possible. Last night Dave and I were reminiscing about what we had been doing a year ago at that time. Having a HORRIBLE night, that's for sure. Even though it was so hard to get her here, I would do it a million times over again. She has enriched our lives more than we could imagine. When I was a little girl, I would enter my parents room every morning and say "Today is my birthday." But every day....I guess I was spoiled even from the beginning. Anyway, today is my daughter's special day and hope she knows and can feel how much her daddy and I love her.

Her favorite thing...

Quinn LOVES her bike right now. Any time we are upstairs she goes right to it. She is FAST too. Sometimes she can barely keep up with herself. She goes back and forth for a long time and is even learning to steer it a little!

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

We had Quinn's birthday party early so we could have it while Grandma was here. It was so much fun! Thanks to everyone who could come!!
My mom and I made her these lady bug cakes...I think they turned out adorable!

Quinn was very excited about her present from Grandma and Grandpa Keller. It was a piggy bank. As you can tell by her face, she is saying "oooooh."

Allison got her this little ducky. She immediately gave it at big hug and kiss and pat on the back. So cute.

Grandma and Grandpa Stevens got Quinn a baby for her birthday! We let her have it already, even though her birthday isn't until next week. She LOVES it. She can barely lift it since it is almost as big as her, but every time she sees it she gives it a kiss. It is the sweetest thing ever.

It was Dave's birthday yesterday! We had a fun day. My mom got here in the morning too.
