For my baby boy

Our baby boy is not blessed with a walk in closet, like Quinn is. So I made him this laundry bag that hangs up. Cute huh? It's an Amy Butler pattern...and I love, love, love how it turned out.


It has a slit in the front so you can slip the clothes in while it's hanging up by the drawstrings

Why do I try?

I put some pigtails in Quinn's hair this morning. I tried to do it while her hair was still wet thinking that maybe they would stay in better. It is a good thing I took a picture for proof, because they lasted for a whole 30 minutes

Christmas Morning

Quinn got a table from her Aunt Julie--she has been sitting at it most of the day--and it's almost 5 pm. Here she is enjoying a new puzzle she got from Santa

This picture shows some of the chaos left over after opening presents. She got a TON of books--probably 100?? Here she is reading them (quickly) and throwing them on the floor.

Quinn got this Elmo bath toy from Grandma and Grandpa Stevens. She has been OBSESSED with bathtime lately, so she was super excited to get an Elmo that had his own bath too!

Here she is wearing an apron Grandma S made her and a stethescope from a medical kit she got this morning. She played with this new microwave for most of the day....she has had SO much fun with it.

Here are the babies warming up after being outside. They were mesmerized by a Baby Einstein movie. It was about animals--and after Quinn saw EVERY animal she would say e-i-e-i-o...it was hilarious

Boots

Quinn hated wearing her new boots at first. She would cry when I put them on her, and pretend like she couldn't walk in them. Today I found her trying to put them on herself. She wore them for a long time this afternoon, and didn't want me to take them off. She's so cute :)

After Grandma and Grandpa Stevens saw Quinn play outside in the snow without a snow-suit, they sent her one!! We got it today--and perfect timing too since we just got some new snow! Of course I brought the camera outside to take some pictures, but the battery wasn't in it---so here's an awful picture of the two snowmen we made (taken from inside an hour later), and no picture of Quinn in her cute new snow-suit...sorry :)

I'm 26 weeks!!! crazy huh??

Happy Anniversary to my Davey

It's our SIX YEAR anniversary today!!! We celebrated last night by going to dinner and seeing Twilight (FINALLY!!) But since today is the official big day, I wanted to dedicate a post to my wonderful husband. Love you babe...here's to a gazillion more years together.
I'm happy to say that you still haven't realized you are WAY cooler than me. And if you have realized, you haven't said anything.

Christmas dress

Here is Quinn looking super cute in her Christmas dress today. She looked pretty cute with her tights and shoes on, but she had such a wet diaper when we got home that I couldn't put her tights and bloomers back on...you'll have to imagine her with shoes :)

My brother, Daine, had very scary experience last night. He wrote about it on his blog if you are interested. Just wanted to say love you Dainey--I'm so glad you are okay.

My baby boy will have ONE cold foot

Okay...so I tried making the new baby boy some booties today. I love Amy Butler, but this pattern is H-A-R-D. I made Quinn some slippers before that were easy and fun to make. They were nothing like this. Ha...so I think I'm done after the one....I don't think I want to struggle through finishing the other one, especially since they are not nearly as cute as I thought they'd be. What a waste of PRECIOUS sewing time...since I don't know if any of you noticed....but I broke the 100 day mark until we have our baby!!

Paul, Les, and Evie were here overnight. I was trying REALLY hard to get a cute picture of the girls, but I don't think Evie liked that idea. i wanted them both to sit on a stool,.but they wanted to sit on the same one...

Somehow we settled that one...

Then I wanted them to sit together on the chair--Evie didn't like that idea either...

Until I let them watch Bee Movie.

Hat

Quinn sometimes likes to wear hats. She found this cute one in her closet today and walked around for a while with it on....but ALL the way on--over her face.



oh--and have I mentioned that I have a little girly-girl on my hands? She always wants to wear a skirt lately. It's really cute actually. She gets mad when I'm getting her dressed unless I show her that it's a skirt. I found her these adorable boots this weekend too--I'll have to get them in a picture.

First snow!

One more picture from yesterday. It wouldn't upload yesterday and it was the cutest picture--so here it is :) my sweet girl and her daddy.

We got a little bit of snow last night that actually stuck around. Quinn asked to go outside ALL day to make a snowman. The funny part--is that when we were getting all bundled up to go outside and make a snowman, Quinn said that she just wanted to 'buy one.' hehe...where does she learn this stuff?
