tents, forts, turtles, and rain

Life is busy but good. Here are some adventures we've been up to the past couple of days:

Hendrix had a campout in his bedroom.
Dave has been making some amazing forts for the kiddos.
We walked to the pond and fed the ducks and turtles.
It's so fun to see so many turtles. Lots and lots of bunnies all over too. Quite the change from cows and horses in Idaho. We brought some lettuce to feed the turtles. They didn't like it. What do turtles eat anyway?
Ha... her face in this picture is cute.
Shortly after our morning walk to the pond there was a random rainstorm. It doesn't rain a lot here, so we always take advantage and go outside in it. Hendrix wanted to taste the rain :)
Veda thought it was awesome that we were walking around the rain.

She liked the rain. She's such a cute girl. We all just love her to pieces.
Kinda a cute thing she learned today... Quinn learned a lot of sign language in preschool last year. She learned "I love you," and we do it a lot to each other. Today we taught Veda to sign "I love you," (she just makes an L with her thumb and pointer finger-- but still, that's good for a baby) and she'll even try and say it. It's the cutest.

You have the cutest blog. To answer your question, grown up shorts are just normal shorts for Juan, but a step up from the basketball shorts he usually wears everywhere. Ha! And Veda, she melts me heart in these pictures.

So adorable!! I love that you have turtles. They are my fav! And they eat strawberries but I have seen them eat lettuce. Maybe that turtle was being picky and needs to be told "you get what you get and you dont throw a fit!"!!!
