Moving day!!

Today was the big day! My awesome parents got to Idaho last night.
We spent the day packing up the Penske truck. Dave is a master packer. But even with selling most of our furniture, we barely fit in a 16 foot truck.
It was a rainy morning- quite fitting since when we moved into this house five years ago it was raining too :)
My mom and I have two days to hang out here before we fly out on Monday. My sweet friend jan loaned us beds and blankets and towels since everything went in the truck. We'll spend the next couple of days cleaning the house and playing with cousins. The kids are excited and happy that the house is empty- there's more room to run around :)
And hey- my girls are about to share a room, got any tips for me??? We've been so lucky up until now to have each kid in their own room. So any advice would be great :)

I don't have any advice because Jade is in her own room, but she tells me almost every day that she wishes she had a sister to share a room with. So if your girls ever complain, just tell them "some little girls would love to have a sister to share a room with!" :) Good luck and safe travels.

Oh man. This post just got me all choked up. It's one thing to talk about it but now it's DONE. Sad. Good luck on your flights. I'm thinking about you.

My advice, stagger bedtimes. When I put the boys in at the same time it's crazy for HOURS, about 3-4! But if I put Liam in first he falls asleep within 15 minutes and then Aiden goes in. It is very peaceful and they and I love them sharing a room. Good Luck!

I agree with Megan, stagger the bedtimes, at least at first! When Scarlett was smaller I could do this, because she'd fall asleep so fast, but now she's too big and they go down at the same time. . . and it just depends on the day and how tired they are how well they fall asleep.

I think with Quinn being a little older, and with her personality, you'll be fine. Norah is crazy, and likes to just keep playing and keep Scarlett up. . . which ends up in tears. But if you can get them down at separate times with Veda being asleep and sneaking Quinn in later, you'll be golden. Good luck with the flights!

Yes, it was a rainy day but it didn't pour. It is April 10th and snowing here today - just very lightly, but very cold after the Texas 80 degree weather! How quickly we adjust to warm weather.
