Kinder Camp

This morning was Kinder Camp for Miss Quinn.
Have you all been on the edges of your seat wondering how it went?
Wondering if she had an anxiety attack, or wouldn't let go of my legs while screaming her head off?
Most conversations about kindergarten lately have either included actual tears, or nervous giggles from her trying not to cry.
Needless to say I have been pretty unsure how today was going to go.
And let me tell you- she was a champ.
No tears.
She SPOKE to her teacher.
After sitting down at her table she told me I could "go sit over there." (at another table!)
When the parents left to go to the cafeteria for our own meeting with the principal, she barely batted an eye as she went and sat on the rug with the other kids to listen to a story and pet the classroom hamster.

I am overjoyed.
Maybe this transition to Kindergarten will be better than we all thought.
My smart, sweet, good girl is growing up.
Maybe I'll be the only one with tears on the first day of Kindergarten!
And I couldn't be happier about that :)

This one made me cry :( Half out of the fact that Quinn is growing up and going to go to school and half out of how proud I am that she is getting confident.
